SAFAGA - Red Sea Safaga is now considered by many divers as the New Diving Mecca. A controlled urbanisation has allowed to preserve Safaga from mass tourism. Indeed, only a dozen hotels are present in the bay of Safaga. This has contributed to the preservation of the diving sites which have not suffered the presence of thousands of divers simultaneously.

The bay of Safaga, well protected from Northern winds, offers splendid dive sites. Like Tobia Arba, for example. Also Ras Abu Soma Garden, a true aquarium very much appraised by underwater photographers. Dephts vary from 14 to 35 metres maximum. |

The inner reefs surrounding the bay are truely exceptional ! Exposed to slight currents, they're true cradles of life. All are beautiful, but the most famous are Tobia Soraya and Gamul Soraya . |

The outer reefs of Safaga, known to all divers, are to be compared to certain dive sites from the South cruises. Their names : Panorama Reef, Middle Reef, Abu Kefan and the famous wreck of the « Salem Express ». |
