Panorama Reef

Panorama Reef distinguishes itself due to its great drop-offs, and its North and South plateaus.

The North plateau is the ideal spot to start drift dives.

A dropping at the North beacon, above the plateau 25m underneath, and there you are floating above magnificent gorgonias, hardcoral tables (Acropora spp.) and in the blue ... jackfishes, tunas, barracudas...

Don't forget to greet the « Housekeeper » of Panorama, alias « Big Daddy » the Napoleonfish, a specimen of respectable size, who is always very curious and cannot help himself from mixing with the divers !

The wonderful South plateauwith its «Clown Fish Nursery » (also called Anemone City) on its South-West side.

Generally the dive starts from the boat, moored next to the plateau next to Anemone City.

At - 27 mètres, a chimney in the reef is home to very beautiful giant gorgonias as well as a school of glassfish.

On the plateau, blue spotted stingrays, lionfishes (Pterois Volitans), giant murray eels and triggerfishes of all kinds wander about.

Don't forget to look into the blue, since you're on an outer reef, every kind of encounter is possible around here !

While coming back to the boat along the reef, your sharp eyes will most likely discover a well hidden stonefish or scorpionfish. Hands off, of course !!!!

Anyway, the end of the dive and the safety stop at Anemone City is a must ! Dozens of big anemonies with whole schools of clownfishes cover a whole strip of the wall from almost the surface to about 15 meters. No panic ... safety stop is allowed to be longer than 3 minutes !
